*I received product from World Market for this post. Any opinions are all mine. I've mentioned a few times how much I have been loving the look of Day of the Dead inspired pieces this year for Halloween. My kids have been begging me to get our house decorated for Halloween, and I used some of the Day of the Dead pieces I've made and purchase to create a little vignette in our entryway.I started off by hanging my Dia de los Muertos inspired wreath, and then added a felt banner and framed crochet sugar skull.World Market has some amazing Day of the Dead items in their Halloween Decor section, and I couldn't help but pick up a few to add to my vignette. I got those amazing candles, sugar skull garland, and this sugar skull plate, which is my absolute favorite. Finally, I Continue Reading

Dia de los Muertos Wreath
*This post originally appeared on Eighteen25 as part of their Spooktacular September. This post also includes affiliate links. Thanks for supporting Persia Lou!Last year my Halloween decor was all black and white, and I really liked it. My projects this year have all been inspired by the colorful sugar skulls and ofrendas used to celebrate the holiday. Another Dia de los Muertos symbol is the marigold, the pretty organge flowers used to decorate altars made for loved ones, so I made my own version of marigold tissue paper flowers as the base for my wreath. This may be a little weird, but it was a stretch for me to incorporate orange into my Halloween/Fall decor because I'm Continue Reading
