Today, I'm teaming up with nine other bloggers to bring you guys TEN great recipes, projects, and printables for the Perfect BBQ! Be sure to scroll all the way to the end to check out all of the delicious summery goodness. But first, I'm excited to show off the latest addition to our outdoor dining space.Recently, I was browsing the outdoor section at Target admiring a turquoise and white striped outdoor umbrella thinking about how bright and happy it looked compared to the perfectly serviceable, yet perfectly beige umbrella I had at home. Rather than drop some dough on a new umbrella, I decided to work with what I had and give our umbrella a bright and happy upgrade.I started off by adding a hot pink stripe around the edge of my umbrella. To do this, I opened the umbrella up and Continue Reading

Popsicle Watercoloring Page – Free Printable
Hey hey! I've got a fun freebie for you all today. So, I'm kind of obsessed with watercolors lately (as you probably know if you've been around here before). I've also been a life-long lover of coloring pages, and I figured it was about time to combine these two loves. Throw in the summery cuteness of popsicles, and you get the birth of my first watercoloring page printable. Yay!To make your own watercolor art for summer, just print out this little popsicle page on watercolor paper (I used 90 lb weight because I wasn't sure how 140 lb would go through my printer, but it might work just fine) and use your watercolors to fill it in.Then, just hang it up and you know... chill out. (By the way, thanks to my six year old for taking the photos of me painting. Not bad, Continue Reading
No-Piece Geometric Quilt Tutorial Part One
This post was originally shared by Persia Lou on Craftaholics Anonymous. This post contains affiliate links. I think I've mentioned a few times that I'm working on giving our master bedroom an update. We bought paint about a month ago to repaint, but so far it is still sitting in the garage. Anyone want to come paint for me? Nobody?Anyway - it's a slow process. But one of the projects that I have crossed off my list is a new quilt for the bed: a No-Piece Geometric Quilt. I am really happy with the way this little quilt came out. It's simple (because the quilt top and backing are both just solid pieces of fabric), but still has lots of interest and texture that comes from the quilting. Now, listen guys, I'm going to tell you guys that this quilt is easier than other quilts that Continue Reading

I am so excited to be teaming up with some super talented bloggers (seriously some of my faves!) this week to bring you loads of summerlicious projects, which you will find at the end of this post. But first - can I tell you guys something? This is a little embarrassing, but I just took my winter wreath off my door about a week ago. Yeah....Oh, and by the way, my winter wreath was, uh, pretty wintery:About Easter time I took off the gold bow and added a pink one, telling myself that those snowy pom-poms could pass for little bunny tails. And then, about a month ago (when, long after Easter, the "bunny tail wreath" was still hanging around), a Continue Reading

Pom Pom Picture Holders
Pom-Pom Picture Holder This post was originally shared over at Eighteen25.Today I have a little project I promised to share with you guys way back around Easter time. I first came up with the idea for this little picture holder when I was working on my little faux "mantel" area for Easter. I wanted to put this cute little tangram bunny up, but I didn't want to tape it on the wall or put it in a frame. Here was my solution:Cute, right? I think the pom pom looks like a fluffy little bunny tail. But these pom pom picture holders totally work for any little photo, printable, or piece of art you want to display around your home.I really like this little craft because it is super easy and super quick and made with pretty common craft supplies (I always have this stuff on Continue Reading
Modern Dining Table DIYs
Once upon a time, we bought a cute little round dining table at a thrift store. We refinished that little table, and I loved it. Then, all these kids showed up, and it was just too small. We needed a bigger table. So, my dear husband took boxes and boxes of outdated work papers to the recycling center, got 50 bucks for them, stopped by the RC Willey Clearance Center on the way home, and bought a table. It is the perfect size for our dining area, but that is really the best thing it has going for it. I am so ready for it to go away. So, of course, I have been contemplating my DIY options. There are so many amazing DIY dining tables out there, and I rounded up some of my favorites to share with you all.If/when I build our dining room table I'm thinking I would like something with Continue Reading
