Guys. I think we have talked about this, but I just love crafting for Valentine’s Day. It’s not just because of all the pink and hearts and glitter, which I love year-round, but this special holiday also has so many printable possibilities plus one of my very favorite things, PUNS!
Man. I love me a good pun.
So today I have some new printable valentine cards for you all, and yes, they combine pink + hearts + puns, but that is not all! They also give you something you can wear! Yeah, it’s pretty exciting.
ALSO – Some of my creative blogger friends are sharing their own valentine cards ideas at the end of this post, so be sure to scroll all the way through. But first, my little heart glasses cards.
These printable valentine cards are perfect for teens, tweens, and grown-ups too. I think they are kind of perfect for a little Galentine’s Day gift. And the best part is that I’ve already done all the hard work for you. You just need to print, fold, glue, and send! Okay, let’s make some cute cards.
Printable Valentine Cards with Heart Glasses Supplies:
- White Cardstock
- Color Printer (I love mine!)
- Silhouette Cameo OR Scissors / Paper Trimmer
- Permanent Tape Runner or other adhesive
- A6 Envelopes
- My Heart Glasses Valentines Downloads – PDF or Studio3 Files
The printable valentine cards are really simple to put together. Start by downloading the free files from the supply list above. If you have a Silhouette Cameo, then you will use the Studio3 files; if not, download the PDF. The Silhouette will cut out and perforate the cards for you, making them super easy to assemble, but they are pretty simple to put together either way.
Once you have the files printed out on nice white cardstock, you will cut out all of the pieces, either with the Silhouette’s Print and Cut feature or with a paper trimmer and a pair of scissors.
There are two designs included in the files, and when you are all done cutting, you should have five pieces for each card:
To assemble the cards, start by folding along the gray lines (PDF version) or perforated lines (Studio3). Next, apply adhesive along the edges of the glasses flap and press to create the pocket. Line up the card back in the fold of the card front, apply adhesive to the flap, and press to join the card front and back.
Once your card is assembled, it’s time to make your glasses. Simply fold along the glasses tabs, apply adhesive and attach the temples. Finally, slide the glasses into the pocket on the inside of the card.
And that’s it! Your printable valentine cards are all done and ready to send off to all your best galentines.
What do you guys think? Would you like to get some little paper heart glasses in the mail? I know I would!
