Make your craft game groovy with this free Flower Power SVG cut file and your Cricut or Silhouette machine!
Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.
^ I have definitely quoted that before on the blog. Probably at least three or four times if I’m being honest. But I can’t help myself. It’s the first thing that pops in my head when I start making flower projects this time of year!
This time around, though, we are putting a little groovy, retro spin on the florals. So that’s fun.
(P.S. If you are looking for more super cute spring inspired SVGs, be sure to scroll to the end of this post for lots of cute free designs from my designer buddies.)
I thought this design was kind of perfect for a sticker (hence my waterbottle mockup above), but it can really be used for all kinds of retro projects.
Flower Power SVG Project Ideas
- T-Shirts and Tote Bags. Show off your flower child status by ironing the design onto your favorite tee or tote bag. (If you are new to working with heat transfer vinyl, start here with my beginner’s guide.)
- Home Decor. If you have a hippie vibe going on in your home, this design is a perfect addition. Iron the design onto a pillow cover (I recommend using flocked HTV for an extra layer of vintage flair) or use it to create wall decor (maybe a DIY wood sign).
- Party Accessories. This design is absolutely perfect for a 60s or 70s hippie themed party. Make stickers, wall decals, temporary tattoos – so many possibilities.
- Denim Revamp. Give your jeans or jackets a flower-powered makeover with some HTV. This design is kind of perfect for it, right? You can easily get the look of an embroidered or painted denim jacket with iron on vinyl.
- Embroidery Hoop Art. Here’s a fun way to use SVGs you may not have tried before! You can transfer the Flower Power design onto fabric by using your cutting machine to sketch the design onto a piece of fabric using a water erasable fabric marking pen. Then embroider over the sketched design for some one of a kind piece!
There are so many ways to put this design to use! Ready to get grab that cut file and get crafting?
