How to Make a DIY Floral Globe Tote Bag
This cute little eco tote is really easy to make with my free cut file design and some heat transfer vinyl.
If you are new to working with heat transfer vinyl, then I recommend checking out my beginner’s guide to heat transfer vinyl right HERE.
Before you get crafting, you will need to gather up a few supplies. Here is everything you will need.
Floral Globe Tote Bag Supplies:
- Blank Reusable Cotton Tote
- Siser Easyweed HTV
- Silhouette Cameo, Cricut Maker, or other electronic cutting machine
- Weeding Hook
- Iron, Easy Press, or Heat Press
- My free Floral Globe Earth Day SVG Cut File (Download the file from the link at the end of this post.)
Step One. Prepare and Cut Design.
Start off by opening the cut file in your cutting machine software. Scale the design to fit on your tote bag. (Read more about properly scaling and positioning heat transfer vinyl designs here.) Mirror (flip horizontally) the design and send it to your machine to cut.
Step Two. Weed Design.
After your design is done cutting, grab your weeding hook and remove all of the excess vinyl from around your design.
Step Three. Iron on Design.
Use your iron, heat press, or easy press to adhere the design onto your tote bag. Finally, remove the plastic carrier sheet, and your tote bag is all ready to use!
And that’s all there is to it! Ready to grab your free cut file?
