Sometimes it can be a little exhausting, but overall, I have to admit that I kind of love it. I love an excuse to be creative ... [Read More]

Bubbly Birthday Classroom Gifts with Free Printable and Cut File
My oldest's birthday is coming up, and since it's his first birthday in school, it's the first time he's taking birthday treats to his class. This is one of those simple mom things that stresses me out more than it should. Does anyone else do this? I know it's not a big deal, but since I've never done it before I worry about messing it up. It's Rookie School-Mom anxiety. Anyway, because of allergies, no edible treats are allowed, which means the traditional cupcake is a no-go. Instead, we picked up some little bubble favors at Target to give to his classmates. And I whipped up some little tags to tie on to each one. I think they turned out pretty cute, and they were suuuuuuuper easy to put together (much easier than cupcakes!). Especially because I used my Silhouette to cut out ... [Read More]
Pretty Pom Pom Packaging
Here is my guest post from earlier this week over at Sarahndipities. Hope you enjoy! Last Christmas, when I began to run low on ribbon, I came up with a fun way to top packages that also uses up some of my yarn stash: pom-poms! There are many, many different ways to add pom-poms to your packages, but here are a few of my ideas. When attaching one or more pom-poms to a wrapped package, you can simply wrap the yarn around the gift a few times and tie the pom-pom on. Another option is to use a crochet hook to chain a "ribbon" for your gift. (Sarah from Sarahndipities has some good info on how to make a crochet chain here.) There are so many great ways to use pom-poms. ... [Read More]
