Learn how to give plain vases a sophisticated and glossy embossed look in just minutes with this fun technique.
I have a simple little home decor idea for you guys today. I was challenged to create a home decor project that used embossing folders and an embossing machine, and I was happy to take on the challenge. Embossing folders are usually used to add texture and pattern to paper generally for scrapbooking and card making, but since this was a home decor project, I wanted to see what else could be embossed beside paper.
In the end, I made these pretty little vases, and I’m really happy with the embossed effect:
Aren’t they pretty? Can you guess what material I embossed? Can you?!
Okay, I’ll tell you. It’s… VINYL! Isn’t that cool? It actually embossed really well, and I’m already brainstorming more possibilities for putting embossed vinyl to use. You can check out the full vase how-to over on the Consumer Crafts blog today.
