DIY Fruit Straws add a little bit of fun to your favorite beverage or summer party. Make them in minutes with my free printable! A big thanks to Izze for sponsoring this post. This post contains affiliate links, which help to support this site.
I keep seeing stuff about fall and back to school, but I am dragging my feet and holding onto summer as long as I can. Anyone else?! I’m just not ready for pumpkins and scarves yet. So you can find me poolside sipping on some ice cold sparking water out of a watermelon straw. Want to come and join me in holding onto summer a bit longer? Here’s how we are going to do it.
Step One: Make Some DIY Fruit Straws!
So these are the easiest little crafts ever – seriously super duper easy. But also really cute, so it’s a good combo. We are going to dress up some simple paper straws with adorable (and printable – yay!) little fruits, which makes them the perfect way to dress up your favorite drink or make any get together extra special.
Here’s everything you need to make your own.
DIY Fruit Straws Supplies:
- Straws
- White Cardstock
- My Fruit Straw Flags Printable (Download the PDF or Silhouette Studio File)
- Scissors or Silhouette Cameo
- Permanent Tape Runner, Double Stick Tape, or Glue Stick
These cute little straws are so easy to put together. All you need to do is cut, glue, and sip!
- Start by cutting out the printable fruit straw flags. Scissors work great or if you are lucky enough to have a Silhouette cameo, I’ve included a free cut file above to make it even easier.
- Apply double-sided tape or glue to one side of the straw flag. (I really love my tape runner.)
- Fold the straw flag around the straw lining the fruit shapes up.
And that’s it. Your cute little straws are all ready for our next step!
Step Two: Choose a Yummy Drink.
Guys. I have a bit of a diet soda problem. I know, I know. It’s horrible for me. And I’m working on it. I’m trying to drink more water and cut all the soda out, but sometimes I just want something a little special! Know what I mean? That’s where IZZE Sparkling Water comes in. It has just a touch of organic cane sugar, a splash of fruit flavor, and all those sparkly bubbles, s0 I can get something special without a bunch of calories or artificial sweeteners. Pretty great, right?
Plus, how cute are those bottles?!
So we have our cute straws, we have our yummy drink, what’s left? Oh yeah…
Step Three: Enjoy!
Put your cute straw in your sparkly drink, and enjoy! If you can, I totally recommend finding a spot by the pool or having some friends over for a barbecue, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong just enjoying your sparkling water and fruit straw on the couch at the end of the day. Nothing wrong with that.
Happy Summer and Happy Making!
