My sister gifted me a necklace that was hand beaded by a friend of hers who selected the stones/beads specifically for me based on my sister's description of me… totally awesome. My all-time favorite handmade fabric gift was the quilt my grandmother made for me when I was a young girl… to which I credit my entire interest in quilting/sewing today.

Awesome giveaway. My favorite gift is a mug that my baby sister painted for me when I got married. It has cartoon versions of myself and my husband and our names on it. She hates it because she thinks the artwork is childish but she was little when she made it so I think it's just perfect.

I have a crocheted vest my grandmother made for me as a child. It has four granny squares in the center, front and back. My daughter wore it when she was little. Saving it for a granddaughter, I hope!

The best handmade gift I have ever received was an Easter dress my mom made for my daughter. The pictures of my then 4 year old wearing are priceless now that she is a mommy herself.

My grandmother would give me birthday dolls every year. She didn't make the dolls, but since they didn't make one with red hair she had to paint their hair every year so it had her personal touch.
