Easy Washi Tape Storage

Hey there! Today, I am sharing a little sneak peak of one of my favorite parts of my new craft space.

This project is so super simple, I almost feel silly posting it. Almost. But I can’t really feel silly sharing something that works, looks great, and is easy, can I?

No, no I can’t.

Anyway – you all know that in a small room that has to a hold a lot of stuff, it’s smart to get as much stuff as possible onto the walls. Make those walls WORK. So I designated the wall above a cabinet holding boxes of craft supplies as the washi tape storage space.
I love my new washi tape storage because 1. it is pretty, 2. I can see all of my tapes all the time, 3. I can easily rip off a little piece of any tape without taking anything down. Sounds pretty great, right? Want to make your own? Here’s how:
  1. Get a small curtain rod (I used this little one from Target that only costs four bucks).
  2. Pretty it up with a little bit of my favorite gold spray paint (this is obviously totally optional).
  3. Mount the curtain rod to your wall.
  4. Load up your tape.
  5. Enjoy!

Guys. I have a bit of a washi tape problem. My main problem is that I don’t have enough. I mean look at all the space left on this rod!

Time to stock up. AmIright? I can always add another rod if I need more space. Actually, now that I think about it, two rods would look kind of amazing.

Are you all addicted to washi tape too? How do you store yours? Tell me all about it in the comments!

Just read this post. Wonderful idea, I have lots of ribbons and can never remember what colors I have stashed away. I am going to use this idea for my ribbons, thanks.

Right now, all my washi rolls fit in one little glass on my desk, but I've been meaning to do something like this with my ribbon stash for awhile now…Or maybe i just need to buy more tape! 😉
