Our new little guy’s nursery is kind of on its way to being done. I have been stuck for a minute because I really needed more art for the walls, but the budget has pretty much run dry and I was low on inspiration.
Yesterday, I decided to sit down with some watercolors and just make something. I came up with a little gentleman fox in a bow tie. Allow me to introduce you:
Whaddya think? I am fairly happy with it.
I enjoy playing around with watercolors, but I really don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve been thinking lately that it would be fun to take a class and improve my technique, or, you know, get a technique since I don’t really have one. I have looked at classes at the local community college, which I may try, but I was also curious about online classes. Craftsy has this new watercolor class. Have any of you had good experiences with similar online classes?
Here’s some of the art for the baby’s room all ready to be hung up. Getting closer!
I’ve also been working on this little project for the nursery:
Guys. This paper weaving thing is no joke. BUT! I am not a wimp of a crafter, and I hope to have that project all finished up to share with you soon!
(Psst… Did you sign up to follow along on bloglovin yet?)
Linking up at some of my favorite parties.
Oh I love the fox! He is so handsome! Great job!
Thanks so much, Paula!

Devilishly handsome… love it! Thanks, Shan! I'm getting so excited to meet him!
I love your fox! You are so talented to just go and paint something like that :D
Thanks, Rachel!
The fox is great! Love it!
You are so talented for having no technique! I can't wait to see your paper woven hot air balloons.

Bethany the ngnrdgrl
